The Holy Cross women's tennis team defeated cross-town rival Assumption College, 8-1 Sunday afternoon at Assumption. The Crusaders, who had lost their last three matches, improve to 4-6 overall with the win.
Kerry Trimmer, Carrie Simmons, Amy Garrity, Meg Moran and Katie Guarino all won singles matches for the Purple and White. Holy Cross also dominated the Greyhounds in doubles play, with a clean, three-match sweep.
The Crusaders travel to Amherst, Massachusetts for a 3:00 p.m. match with the Minutewomen.
