Holy Cross Concludes Season With 6-1 Home Victory

WORCESTER, Mass. - Playing in the final match of their collegiate careers, seniors Nick Casolaro (Reading, Mass.), Rob Guido (Huntington, N.Y.) and Mike Marano (St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands) all posted a pair of victories to lead the Holy Cross men's tennis team to a 6-1 victory over Colby-Sawyer College.

Casolaro downed Brendan O'Neill 6-3, 6-4, at No. 2 singles, then teamed with Marano for an 8-2 victory over O'Neill and Justin Tardif at No. 1 doubles. Marano won his match at No. 3 singles 6-2, 7-6, over Danny Munsey. Guido defeated Trevor Davis at No. 5 singles 6-0, 6-1, then paired with sophomore Marco Lombardo (Chestnut Hill, Mass.) for an 8-2 win over Jake Meyer and Andrew Pillsbury at No. 3 doubles.

The 2004-2005 season in now complete for the Crusaders.
