PALO ALTO, Calif. -
Top-seeded Stanford knocked off Army, 4-0, this afternoon in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament at the Taube Family Tennis Stadium.
"I'm very proud of my team, they played very hard," said head coach Paul Peck. "The final result is not indicative of how competitive many of the matches were. Overall it was a great experience."
The loss snaps Army's 13-match win streak. The Black Knights finish the season with a 23-5 record. Stanford improves to 22-0 on the year.
The Cardinal opened the match by taking the doubles point.
