A total of 95 names graced the 2005 Patriot League Women's Swimming & Diving Academic Honor Roll, announced Thursday by Executive Director Carolyn Schlie Femovich. Lafayette's 23 selections led the way, followed by 21 from League champion Bucknell. Five women's swimming & diving student-athletes turned in perfect 4.0 grade point averages.

The Honor Roll announcement comes exactly 98 days after Bucknell sophomore Rebecca Scheffter (Mt. Airy, Md./Linganore) was named Scholar-Athlete of the Year for women's swimming & diving. Scheffter owns a 3.66 GPA as an English major.
Scheffter's teammate, senior Jackie Feinthel (Cranford, N.J./Cranford), was one of the five student-athletes to hit the 4.0 mark. Feinthel was a Management major during her time in Lewisburg. Also boasting 4.0 GPAs were Holy Cross junior English major Whitney Schmitt (Norwell, Mass./Notre Dame Academy), Holy Cross junior Economics/Accounting major Allison Yoho (New Fairfield, Conn./New Fairfield), Navy junior Economics major Sheila Singer (Princeton, N.J./The Lawrenceville School) and Navy senior Computer Science major Tori Throckmorton (Ann Arbor, Mich./Huron).
Following Lafayette (23) and Bucknell (21) on the Honor Roll were American (13), Holy Cross (10), Colgate (eight), Army (seven), Lehigh (seven) and Navy (six).
To be eligible for the PL Academic Honor Roll, a student-athlete must earn a 3.20 grade point average in the spring semester and be awarded a varsity letter in one of the League's six winter or 10 spring championship sports.
A total of 863 student-athletes were named to the League's Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll, including 53 with 4.0 GPAs. Bucknell led the way with 199 candidates. The Winter/Spring Academic Honor Roll includes the sports of men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming & diving, men's and women's indoor track & field, baseball, softball, men's and women's lacrosse, men's and women's tennis, men's golf, women's rowing and men's and women's outdoor track & field.
