Three Tigers shatter school record at SFSU Invitational

San
Francisco, Calif. - Three different Tigers finished with a
better time than ever posted before in Pacific cross country
history as the Tigers finished in fourth place finish out of six
teams at the San Francisco State Invite on Saturday, Oct. 2.
Pacific sophomore Jessica Daley (Antioch, Calif.) paced the
Tigers as she finished the 5k race with a new school record time
of 19:04.7. Freshman Ainsley Cray (Rhinelander, Wisc.) and
sophomore Jill Himlan (Santa Cruz, Calif.), were only seconds
behind Daley as Cray finished in 19:25 and Himlan came in at
19:32. All three runners eclipsed the old Pacific record in a
5K, which was held by Cynthia Kriegar with a time of 19:46 at
the Sundodger Invite in 1999.
Pacific will be back in action on Saturday, Oct. 9 at the Titan
Invitational in La Jolla, Calif.
