U.S. Elite Team Completes Perfect Pool Play At Canada Cup

SURREY, B.C. - The U.S. Elite Team completed pool play at a perfect 7-0, following a 1-0 victory over Triple Crown Colorado on Thursday, July 7, at the 2005 Canada Cup.
Pacific head coach Brian Kolze is serving as an assistant coach for the U.S. Elite Team, under the direction of University of Michigan head coach Carol Hutchins.
Lauren Lappin tripled to lead off the seventh inning for the U.S. and scored on a Tiffany Haas RBI single to account for the lone run of the game. Gina Oaks went the distance in the circle, allowing just three hits while striking out 11.
Earning the No. 1 seed from the Red Pool, the U.S. will begin playoff action on Friday, July 8, at 3:30 p.m. against the No. 4 seed from the White Pool, Canada Elite.
