Tigers Take Home Big West Swimmer Of The Week Honors

Anaheim, Calif. - Pacific sophomore Krzysztof Zoldak (Oswiecim, Poland) and senior Laura McDonald (Riverside, Calif.) were named the Big West Conference Women's and Men's Swimming Athlete of the Week for the week of Nov. 5-12. The duo took home the honors for their performances at Cal during the week.

Zoldak competed in the 400 IM and 200 fly versus Cal clinching first place in both races. The sophomore finished the 400 IM with a time of 3:55.90 and the 200 fly with a time of 1:51.11.

McDonald swam the 1000 free with a time of 9:58.37, which earned her first place as well as a spot in Pacific's record book for setting a school record in the event. She also finished first in the 500 free with a time of 4:56.10.

This is the first time this season that McDonald and Zoldak have earned the honors. This is McDonald's first career award and Zoldak's second career award.
