Tigers Finish In 15th At The Oregon Invitational

Eugene, Ore. - Starting in 15th place at the beginning of the day, the Pacific men's golf team was unable to improve its standing as it finished the final round at the Oregon Duck Invitational on Tuesday, March 22, in 15 place overall. The Tigers finished 45 strokes off the pace as the University of Washington took the tournament with an 860, -4.

Sophomore Thomas Petersson (Stockholm, Sweden) had the best final round of the day for the Tigers, finishing at 3-over, 75 for the day. For the tournament, Petersson finished in a tie for 59th at 227, +11. Senior Matt Kern (Castro Valley, Calif.) started the day in contention in 16th place overall at even par. Kern finished the final round at 4-over, 76, dropping him into a tie for 25th overall with a 220, +4.

The Tigers are next in action at the Western Intercollegiate hosted by San Jose State on March 28-29.
