Junior College:
Flaherty comes to the Tigers after two seasons at Chabot College, where he helped lead the Gladiators to a combined 61-26 record in two seasons. David hit .356 during the 2006 season, with five HR and 17 RBI in just 76 at-bats. In his freshman year, Flaherty posted a .607 slugging percentage with 15 extra-base hits in 89 at-bats. Following both of his seasons at Chabot, David earned All-Conference honors and was a Coast Conference Second Team member in 2005 and earned honorable mention in 2004.
High School:
Flaherty graduated from San Ramon High School in Danville, Calif. in 2003. During his senior season, David finished with a .310 average, three home runs, 13 stolen bases and 17 RBI. Flaherty earned All-East Bay Athletic League Second Team following the 2003 season. Injuries forced Flaherty to miss both his sophomore and junior seasons in high school.
Personal:
David Flaherty is the son of Bryan and Margy Flaherty. He has two siblings, Joey (27) and Kevin (24). In his second year at Pacific, David is a communication major.
