The national team takes the field July 12 in Irvine, Calif., for an exhibition game against Australia before heading to the first ever World Cup of Softball in Oklahoma City July 14-18. On July 26, the team will travel to Yokohama, Japan, as it looks to defend its Japan Cup title. The 16-member elite team will represent the United States beginning July 2 at the Canada Cup in Surrey, B.C., and the Inter-Continental Cup in Madrid, Spain, July 20-28. A two-time first team All-American, Galindo completed her Cal career this past June at the Women's College World Series. A second team All-American in 2004, the Bears' center fielder was a third team pick in '05. Forest, a pitcher for Cal from 1999-2002, led Cal to the 2002 NCAA championship when she tossed every inning during the Bears' postseason run. A two-time second team All-American, she was voted Most Outstanding Player of the '02 WCWS, as well as the regional Most Outstanding Player in both 1999 and 2002.
