Oklahoma City, Okla. - Stanford sophomore shortstop Lauren Lappin (Anaheim, CA) was tabbed to the 2004 NCAA Women's College World Series All-Tournament Team after her outstanding play of the WCWS in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, last week.

Lappin led the team with a .400 batting average and a team-leading six hits. She also notched two RBI and two runs scored at the series. Lappin came up big for the Cardinal in the rain-delayed Oklahoma game. With Stanford trailing the Sooners, 1-2, Lappin hit a homerun, only her third on the season, in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie up the game. The Cardinal went on to win, 3-2.

Lappin is currently preparing to rejoin the USA Softball Team as one of three alternates selected to the team. She will travel to Greece with the team for the Summer Olympics as well.
