Six Wildcats Earn Pacific-10 Cross Country All-Academic Honors
Nov. 22, 2002 Six University of Arizona student-athletes were named to the 2002 Pacific-10 Conference Cross County All-Academic squads today. Mark Anderson,Kevin Engelhardt, Craig Pansing and Aaron Powell earned first-team designation on the men's side, while Robin Tierney and Susan Mortensen earned second-team women's honors. Anderson is a junior with a 3.78 grade point average in biochemistry, Engelhardt is a junior with a 3.42 in biochemistry, Pansing is a junior with a 3.63 GPA in optical engineering and Powell is a redshirt freshman with a perfect 4.0 in general biology. Tierney is a redshirt freshman carrying a 3.64 with an undeclared major and Mortensen is a redshirt freshman with a family studies major and a 3.65 GPA. Men's cross country runners Eric Bohn (junior, 3.08 in environmental hydrology) and Josh Ludwig (sophomore, 3.25 in liberal studies) earned honorable mention.
In all, the conference selected 10 first-team and 10 second-team
student-athletes for both the men's and women's citations.
