OSU's cross country program will begin competition in the fall of 2004 (track resumes in winter of 2005) after a 16-year hiatus. Track will consist of middle distance and distance events only.

Oregon State fielded highly-successful women's track and cross country programs from 1975-88, during which time three Beavers subsequently earned spots on the U.S. Olympic team. In those 14 seasons of competition, OSU had 12 All-America finishes and four national champions.
