Three Cougars Finish In Top 10 At WSGA Golf Championship
July 5, 2001 BELLINGHAM, Wash.--- Washington State golfers Isaac Woods, Jeremy Taylor, and Ryan Camp all placed in the top 10 of the Washington State Golf Association Men's Amateur Championship at Sudden Valley Golf Course in Bellingham June 26-29. Woods and Taylor tied for fourth with a 287. Taylor fired a third round 68, while Woods carded 71's in the first and fourth round. Sophomore Ryan Camp, representing Manito Golf and Country Club, finished one stroke back in a tie for eighth place. Camp improved in each round, shooting a 73-72-72-71--288. The University of Washington's Brock Mackenzie won the tournament with a 280. The tournament was loaded with college players from Pac-10 schools, including Mackenzie, Corey Prugh, Conner Robbins, Derek Berg, and John Robertson from Washington, Reid Hatley of Arizona, Ryan Whitaker of Arizona State, and Andres Gonzales from Oregon State.
