All three UCLA golfers advanced Wednesday to the second round of match play at the 31st U.S. Women's Amateur Publinks Championship at Kearney Hill Golf Links in Lexington, KY.

UCLA juniors Tiffany Joh and Ryann O'Toole secured their victories prior to the 17th hole and incoming freshman Glory Yang captured her victory prior to the 18th.

Joh defeated Mia Kabasakalis of Alameda, CA, 3 & 2. The defending champion never trailed and took the lead for good with a birdie at the par 3 eighth hole. She held a 2-up lead until she birdied the par 4 16th. Joh meets Aimee Neff of Carmel, IN, in the second round.

O'Toole defeated Courtney Gunter, 3 & 2. The two players were all square at the 10th after O'Toole made a double bogey. But the UCLA player birdied the par 4 11th and won the next two holes with a bogey and a par. Both players eagled the par 5 14th and they halved the next two holes as O'Toole won with two holes remaining. O'Toole meets Mari Chun of Pearl City, HI on Thursday.

Yang built a 3-up lead through 12 holes before defeating Julia Huh of Pasadena, MD, 2 & 1. She meets Stephanie Fleet of Dewitt, MI, in the next round.
