Ebony Young saw action in nine games, while making five appearances in the starting line-up...missed the remainder of the season after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in her left knee in the second half of the Cincinnati (12/19) game...recorded 41 points (4.6 ppg.) and 18 rebounds (2.0 rpg.)...went 6-for-15 (.400) from 3-point range...opened the season with six points and pulled down two rebounds in 17 minutes against Utah Valley State (11/21)...finished with one rebound in seven minutes against Texas A&M Corpus Christi (11/23)...hit 2-of-5 field goals for four points and pulled down two rebounds at Tulane (11/25)...finished with seven points and three rebounds in 10 minutes against Arkansas (11/28)...pulled down a career-high five rebounds and dished out three assists in her first career start against Providence (11/29)...buried 4-of-5 field goals for a then career-high nine points and tallied two steals in her second straight start at Portland State (12/3)...had one rebound in 11 minutes against SMS (12/6)...finished with three points and two boards in 16 minutes against No. 19 Utah (12/16)...had the best game of her career, knocking down 5-of-7 field goals, including a pair of 3-pointers for a career-high 12 points and dishing out a career-best four assists at Cincinnati (12/19) before getting hurt.

Freshman (2002-03): Ebony joined the OSU squad late as a partial qualifier during the 2002-03 season...practiced with the team throughout the year...but was not eligible for game action.

Ebony was a four-year letterwinner at Oakland High School in Oakland, CA...was a two-time All-Oakland Athletic League first team selection...served as team captain for two years...was a two-year letterwinner in softball and volleyball...also earned a letter in track while competing in the 200m.

Born in San Leandro, CA...daughter of Tammy Young...mother is a housekeeper...has one brother, Derrick and two sisters, Candices and Natalie...two of her former teammates are playing basketball at NCAA Division I schools, Angela Gibson (University of San Francisco) and Nicol Berry (California)...was a member of the African American Student Union...biggest athletic thrill to date was beating rival Mitty High School at home to advance to the second round of the Northern California sectionals...lists her favorite athletes as Sheryl Swoopes and Tina Thompson...chose Oregon State because, "God guided me here."
