Anita earned numerous honors as a three-year letterwinner at Temescal Canyon High School under head coach Carrie Strange...earned valley MVP honors as a senior...named The Press-Enterprise Riverside County Player of the Year...was a four-time All-CIF selection, including first team honors as a sophomore and senior...two-time All-Southwestern League won the Southwestern league her senior season with a 26-3 overall record...played in the North vs. South All-Star game...averaged 19.7 points, 7.4 rebounds and 3.1 steals as a senior...was team captain and earned honorable mention West Coast accolades by Street and Smith Magazine while playing out of position (point guard) during her junior season...set the Temescal Canyon school record for 3-pointers and most points in a game (36) during her sophomore season...earned Sunkist League Most Valuable Player honors as a sophomore...played for Murrieta Valley High School as a freshman where she set the school record for 3-pointers (43).

Daughter of Mike and Rita Rivera...father is a plasterer and mother is a chiropractic assistant...has three sisters, Danielle, Melissa and Nicole.
