Tarika was a three-year letterwinner at Long Beach Wilson High School in Long Beach, CA for head coach Paula Clear...sat out her senior season after tearing her ACL in a tournament during the summer of 2001...was a two-time All-CIF South Section all-star...was a two-time All-Moore League selection...named the Moore League Most Valuable Player as a junior...served as team captain...earned second team All-Dream Team status as voted on by the Long Beach Press Telegram as a sophomore and earned first team accolades after her junior season...earned All-L.A. Times recognition.

PERSONAL Born in Compton, CA...daughter of Tarik Campbell and Shauna Brooks...mother is a nurse...has two sisters and a brother, Shaunte Grimes, Paulette Iseghohi and Tarik Campbell Jr....outside interests include dancing and watching movies...was an honor roll student...lists Shaquille O'Neal as her favorite athlete...biggest athletic thrill to date was being there for her team during her senior season, cheering them on and encouraging them in a different way, because of being unable to play...decided to attend Oregon State because, "I wanted to be away from home, but not too far, and I really liked the coaches, players, and people in the community."
