2004 - Ben is an up and coming standout on the defensive line, playing tackle...he may be the next in the line of all-stars that has produced recent graduates Dwan Edwards, James Lee, Eric Manning, DeLawrence Grant and LaDairis Jackson... missed spring practice with a shoulder injury.

2003 - He started all 13 games as a redshirt-freshman and recorded 15 tackles...among those 15 tackles were four-for-losses and two sacks (UO, Stanford)...his play helped Oregon State rank seventh in the nation for total defense, allowing 288.7 yards per game, and fourth for rush defense at 84.4...he entered fall camp third on the depth chart, and moved up to starter due to his play and an injury to a teammate (Sir Henry Anderson)...The Sporting News named him to their Pac-10 Conference All-Freshman team.

2002 - Redshirt.

CACTUS Ben lettered three years and started two at defensive tackle...first team All-Wells Fargo Region...Arizona Republic All-West Valley and second team all-state...team captain as a senior...had 126 tackles and 11.5 sacks for his prep career...helped Cactus to the No. 3 ranking in the state as a senior and a trip to the second round of the 4A playoffs.
