2004: Chaz will be an impact player this season...a likely starter or top reserve at middle of the better athletes on the team, possessing strength and quickness...has postseason experience by playing in the program's games at the Las Vegas and Insight Bowls.

2003: Chaz quietly had an outstanding season as a sophomore, making 28 tackles...had three tackles for loss and one and one-half quarterback sacks...made a career-high seven tackles at Oregon...15 of his 28 tackles were in the last three games...started his only game of his career in a nationally televised game at then No. 2 USC...his sacks and one fumble recovery for the season came in the Las Vegas Bowl against New Mexico...missed three early season non-conference games with an injury.

2002: Chaz played in all 13 games as a redshirt freshman...a key contributor on special teams playing on both kick coverage teams and the punt return team...made seven tackles for the season...moved to middle linebacker during the start of fall practice after originally listed at "will" linebacker.

2001: Redshirt.

HAMILTON: SuperPrep Magazine first team All-American and rated fifth by the magazine for athletes in the state of Arizona...PrepStar Magazine rated him eighth on its West Coast defensive backs list...played safety and cornerback on defense and wide receiver and tailback for head coach John Wrenn...rushed for 925 yards and 13 touchdowns as a senior, and made 57 tackles with four forced fumbles and two pass interceptions (TDs) as a safety...played wide receiver as a junior with 26 receptions for 283 yards and four touchdowns, and rushed for 173 yards...also made 53 tackles and three interceptions his junior year...first team All-Fiesta Region in 1999 and 2000...first team all-state on defense as a senior and selected the best defensive back in the state as a senior...Hamilton was 21-3 during his last two prep seasons.

PERSONAL: Chaz is the son of John and Vickie Scott...John and Vickie are self-employed...has one brother, Yohance, and one sister, Sharnea...Yohance played football at Utah...enjoys weightlifting, watching football and playing basketball...his favorite athletes are Eddie George and Michael Jordan...majoring in speech communication with the goal of working in NFL management...chose OSU because it was the "the best place for me and I was comfortable with the program"...majoring in sports communication.
