2004: Adam will once again battle for playing time as the backup quarterback...enters the season having played in 13 games, all in a reserve role...an intelligent player who understands the offense...enters his senior season having completed 24 of 38 passes for 276 yards and two touchdowns...completed 17 of 28 pass attempts for 256 yards and two touchdowns during the spring scrimmages.

2003: Adam completed 12 of 20 pass attempts for 175 yards and one touchdown...he threw a 19-yard touchdown pass to Josh Hawkins in the fourth quarter of the team's 55-14 victory over New Mexico in the Las Vegas Bowl...he was 6-for-8 vs. the Lobos...had a long pass of 41 yards vs. Stanford...earned the top backup position after fighting off competition from Danny Southwick and Anton Clarkson, both of whom transferred.

2002: As a sophomore he played in seven games, completing 10 of 18 passes for 101 yards with one touchdown and one interception...he connected with tight end Dan Haines for a 13-yard scoring strike vs. Arizona...went 3-for-4 for 40 yards vs. UNLV...completed 11 of 17 passes for 108 yards and one touchdown in the spring game, leading his team to a 23-0 victory.

2001: Adam did not play in games, but was impressive in scrimmages...in one scrimmage he was 12 of 16 for 98 yards and in another 12 of 22 for 157 yards...one of the starting quarterbacks in the spring game...played on scout teams.

2000: Redshirt.

UNION: Adam was a three-year starter for head coach Jeff Freitas...led the Tigers to the Division III Section championship as a senior with an 11-2 record...as a senior he passed for over 2,500 yards, completing 170 of 276 attempts (.616), had 31 touchdowns and just five interceptions...also added seven touchdowns rushing...for his prep career he completed 303 of 528 attempts for 4,074 yards, threw for 44 touchdowns and was intercepted 13 times...North Sequoia League MVP after his senior season and second team All-Valley by the Fresno Bee...PrepStar Magazine all-region team member...also earned four letters in baseball as a pitcher/infielder, earning all-league honors twice...Cal-Hi all-state baseball player as junior and senior.

PERSONAL: Born in Fresno, California...son of John and Jan Rothenfluh...John is a plant manager and Jan is an administrative assistant...entered OSU with a 3.89 GPA...was on the Superintendent's Honor Roll at Washington Union High School...he was named the scholar athlete for football in 1998 and 1999, and in baseball in 1998-99-00...enjoys golf, movies and relaxing...favorite athlete is Brett Favre...selected OSU because, "of the opportunity to play in the Pac-10 Conference"...has graduated with a degree in business administration and is currently working toward his master's in business.
