2004: Dan is looking to climb back up the depth chart after a knee injury slowed his progress last season...an excellent receiver with the reputation of having some of the best hands on the team...likely a major contributor on offense in 2004...enters the season with 18 games played.

2003: Dan played in seven games as a sophomore, making one reception for five yards against Arizona...he missed spring drills due to a knee injury and entered fall camp still rehabilitating, limiting his practice and playing time.

2002: Haines saw considerable action as a redshirt-freshman, making 10 receptions for 144 yards and one touchdown...he suffered a season-ending knee injury in practice prior to the regular season finale vs. Oregon...he and Tim Euhus alternated as the pass receiving tight end...he caught two passes in games vs. UCLA, Arizona, and Arizona State...scored a touchdown against Arizona.

2001: Redshirt.

LEWISTON: A two-year letterman in football for head coach Emmitt Daugherty...helped Lewiston to the state title game as a senior...as a senior, he caught 40 passes for 1,092 yards (state record)...against Highland in the 2000 state title game he caught seven passes for 246 yards and four touchdowns - a school record for yards and touchdowns...first team all-state and All-Northern Idaho as a senior...honorable mention all-state as a junior and first team All-Northern Idaho...caught 38 passes for 790 yards (20.8 avg.) and nine touchdowns his junior year.

PERSONAL: Born in Lewiston, Idaho...son of Mike and DeAnna Haines...Mike is a jeweler and DeAnna is in sales...has one sister, Andrea...entered OSU with a 3.60 cumulative GPA and earned a scholastic award for his academic success...Tony Gonzales is his favorite athlete...majoring in business administration.
