2004: Charles enrolled at OSU during the winter of 2004 and began classes spring term of `04...he participated in spring drills and will battle for playing time at receiver...Burnley made the switch from tailback to receiver during spring, catching one pass for 32 yards.

VALENCIA: PrepStar Magazine Western All-Region pick as a senior after rushing for 2,082 yards and 18 touchdowns as a senior...Valencia's team MVP as a junior and senior...first team All-CIF (Div. 2) as a junior and senior, and first team All-Southern Section, All-San Fernando Valley, and All-Santa Clarita County...Foothill League Offensive Player of the Year twice...rushed for a total of 4,182 yards and 48 touchdowns in two seasons...added another 619 yards on 58 receptions with six touchdowns...also returned six kickoffs for touchdowns during his prep career...for his career he had a school record 8.3 yards per carry average...his best individual game came against Servite HS when he rushed for 330 yards...rated the 12th best running back on the West Coast by PacWestFootball...received two votes on the Long Beach Press-Telegram's Best in the West of the top 100 recruits in a nine-state Western area, according to the Tacoma News Tribune...also lettered two years in track.
