Team’s top distance addition in 2001-02. In her two seasons for the Ducks in cross country, is the only individual to run in the team’s top four in all nine of the races she’s raced - including three races among its top two finishers, and three more contests in its third spot. Missed most of 2002 indoor and outdoor track seasons returning from a stress fracture from the winter of 2001-02. Could choose between the 1,500 and 5,000 on the track this season.

Fall 2002: Ran in Ducks’ top four in all four of her varsity races. In midseason, fought through a slight hamstring injury, to help Ducks finish fifth in NCAA Western Regional Championships and was one of four, top-30 individual finishers for Oregon (30th, 22:30) - 48 places than her debut the year before. Finished second on squad in Roy Griak Invite (36th, 22:02), third on team in Pac-10 Championships (36th, 22:13) and fourth in Pre-Nationals (122nd, 22:14).

2001-02: Outdoors, raced only twice as she regained strength after winter season stress fracture. Took eighth in 1,500 in Oregon Twilight (4:49.56), and ran first half of 10K in Oregon Invite at end of April. In cross country, twice ran in team’s second and third spots, and once in its fourth spot. Made debuts in Pac-10 (37th, 23:07) and Western Regional Championships (78th, 24:04), and also scored in Roy Griak (162, 23:04) and Furman (133, 23:30) and Sundodger Invites (35th, 18:28). Early in season, gradually built training back to a normal level after a summer bout with mononucleosis, and only started jogging again in early August.
