Men's Track
A likely middle distance specialist on the track. Another member from a crowded class that ranked as Track and Field News’ top-rated recruiting class for the 2000-01 season. Fall 2002: Did not compete. 2001-02: Ranked second on squad among freshmen and fourth overall in 1,500 (3:57.13). Lowered season best in 1,500 in every appearance starting with snowy Montana-Weber State Triangular (sixth, 4:09.27), followed by Stanford Invitational (48th overall, 4:01.39), Washington Dual (seventh, 3:59.08), Oregon Invitational (13th, 3:58.52) and Oregon Twilight (3:57.13) – and three better than his prep best of 3:57.28. Raced 3,000 once in snowy outdoor opener at home triangular vs. Grizzlies and Bobcats (seventh, 9:04.74). Did not compete indoors. Fall 2001: Did not race for Duck squad, partly due to injuries. 2000-01: Redshirted collegiate cross country and track seasons. Prep: Made biggest prep noise as a senior in the state 4A track championships in 2000, improving on pre-race seedings to score in both the 4A 1,500 (fifth, 3:59.27) and 3,000 (fourth, PR 8:39.50). In cross country, finished ninth (16:19) as a senior in '99 to lead team to 10th-place team finish. Added 21st-place finish as a junior (17:12) and 29th as a sophomore (16:54).
