Continues to add consistency as team's most experienced pole vaulter in one of the squad's primary scoring events.

2000-01: Pac-10 Scorer. Finished sixth in Pac-10 Championships pole vault with season best (16-11) after entering meet seeded 11th. Previous season best came in Texas Relays (ninth, 16-10 3/4). Indoors, jumped season best of 16-4 3/4 in the NCAA Qualifier at Iowa State and Holiday Inn Classic. Took 10th in Mountain Pacific Championships (16-1 1/4), as all five of his indoor appearances were above 16 feet. Pac-10 All-Academic Honorable Mention selection.

1999-2000: Pac-10 Qualifier. Shined under guidance of new pole vault coach Bill Lawson. Upped personal best to 16-8 3/4 at third outdoor appearance for third place in the Hayward Relays. Two meets later cleared 17-foot barrier for first time in Oregon Twilight (second, 17-0 3/4) and less than four inches away from the NCAA provisional mark of 17-4 1/2. Made first Pac-10 appearance (10th, 16-3 1/2), clearing the same final height as the eighth- and ninth-place finishers but with more overall misses. Indoors, tied for sixth in Mountain Pacific Championships with a then-indoor personal best (16-2 3/4).

1998-99: Redshirted season. Competed unattached in several home meets including Oregon Twilight (third, 15-5), and Oregon Preview (fifth, 15-1).

1997-98: Ranked third on team behind two Pac-10 qualifiers. Vaulted then-PR (16-0 3/4) vs. Washington State and in Pepsi Team Invite.

Prep: Finished second as a senior in 3A state meet (15-4), junior (15-4) and sophomore (14-6). Set prep best (15-6) in 1997 Hayward Field summer all-comers meet. High School (Coach): Elmira '97 (Matt Binkerd).
