2001 Most Valuable Runners Mary Reynolds and Steve Krajenski

ATHENS, Ohio - Senior Steve Krajenski (Mt. Vernon) and junior Mary Reynolds (Grand Rapids, Mich.) were named most valuable runners for the 2001 season by Ohio head coach Elmore Banton at the team's award banquet.

Krajenski finished in the top five twice this year. He led the team on five occasions, including his career-best performance at the Mid-American Conference Championship, resulting in a 32nd-place finish (26:13.0).

Reynolds, named most improved in 2000 and freshman of the year in 1999, led the Bobcats in all five meets she competed in. She finished 13th at the MAC Championship (18:53.7), and turned in her best mark of the season at the Central Collegiate Championship with a third-place finish (18:32.1).

Kelly Felter (Kent), Jason Linton (Vincent) and Drew Frum (Poland) were named freshmen of the year. Tracy Weitthoff (Westerville) was selected as the team's most improved runner.
