    OXFORD, Ohio – The Ohio women’s cross country team placed 10th out of 13 teams at Saturday’s Mid-American Conference Championship. The Bobcats finished the meet with 281 points. Toledo took home the MAC women’s title for the second straight season, scoring 51 points.

    Senior Mary Reynolds paced Ohio, placing 28th overall with a time of 18:31, by far her fastest time of the season. Fellow senior Tracy Weitthoff was the next Ohio runner, finishing 52nd (19:03). Heather Halderman was close behind in 63rd (19:13). A pair of sophomores rounded out the top five for Ohio, with Kelly Felter placing 74th (19:23) and Tara LaVelle taking home 79th place (19:28).

    Also running in the meet for Ohio were freshman Alison Green (91st, 19:48) and Lauren Birnie (98th, 20:04), as well as sophomore Erin Sutherland (108th, 20:59).

    Both the men’s and women’s teams have this coming weekend off as they prepare for the NCAA Regionals on November 16th in Lafayette, Indiana.
