NORMAL, Ill. - Northwestern's cross country team earned a berth in the NCAA Championship meet with a second place finish at the Midwest Regional meet in Normal, Ill. Saturday. The Wildcats had 139 team points to finish second out of 23 teams. Missouri finished first at the meet, followed by the Wildcats and Kansas State, which totaled 145 points.

Thanks to the second place finish, the 'Cats qualify for the NCAA meet to be held November 25 in Terre Haute, Ind. Rachel Evjen (Eau Claire, Wis./North) and Laura Evans (Christiansburg, Va./Christiansburg) earned All-District honors by virtue of their finish at the regional meet.
