Forester Invitational Results

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. -- Led by sophomore Allison King Potomac, Md./Winston Churchill) the Wildcats placed 10th Saturday in the 6K Open Race at the Pre-National Invitational hosted by Indiana State University. The race was held on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course, the same site as this year's NCAA Championships. King finished fifth with a time of 21:51.

Sophomore Hilary Forman (Prairie Village, Kan./Pembroke) finished 37th with a time of 22:55. She was followed by junior Celia Franklin (Wilmette, Ill./New Trier) in 44th with a time of 23:05. Carly Brown (Kalispell, Mont./Flathead), Britta Helwig (Chicago, Ill./Luther North), Paulina Garcia (Streamwood, Ill./Streamwood) and Marie Grabinski (Carmel, Ind./Carmel) rounded out Northwestern's top-seven.

Senior Mallory O'Niel (Bloomfield Hills, Mich./Wylie E. Groves), freshman Diana Burk (Alexandria, Va./West Potomac), freshman Elizabeth Boyle (Elmhurst, Ill./Fenwick), sophomore Alyssa Urish (Mission Viejo, Calif./Tesoru) and sophomore Triphena Wong (Glen Ellyn, Ill./Glenbard South) also participated in the meet for Northwestern.

The Wildcats also participated in the 5K Forester Invitational hosted by Lake Forest College. Northwestern fielded two teams and finished first and fourth. Sophomore Marcellee Fullwood (Houston, Texas/Cypress Falls) led the way for the 'Cats with a time of 19:56.

Northwestern returns to action Oct. 29 at the Big Ten Championships hosted by Indiana University.
