EVANSTON, Ill. -- No. 2 seed Northwestern will face No. 7 seed Arizona State at 2 p.m. CT Thursday, May 31, on ESPNHD in the opening round of the 2007 Women's College World Series, according to the bracket released today by the NCAA.

The Wildcats will play in the first session of the WCWS, following a noon CT matchup between No. 6 seed Washington and No. 14 seed DePaul.

In Thursday's second session, No. 4 seed Texas A&M will play No. 5 Tennessee at 6 p.m. CT, while No. 1 seed Arizona takes on No. 8 seed Baylor at 8 p.m. CT.

Northwestern is making its second-consecutive appearance and fifth overall in the Women's College World Series. All games of the 2007 event will be televised in high definition on either ESPN or ESPN2.
