Final Stats

VALPARAISO, Ind. -- Northwestern's men's soccer team wrapped up the season on the road Sunday afternoon by shutting out Valparaiso, 1-0, in a nonconference matchup. The victory snaps a winless streak for the Wildcats that stretched to the 1999 season, a total of 35 matches. They finish 2001 with a 1-13-3 record.

Freshman Victor Boni headed in a Steven Jedlinski cross to score the gamewinner at 17:55. The goal was Boni's second of the year. Jedlinski finishes with a team-high six assists.

Goalkeeper Ryan Pederson picked up his first career win and first career shutout.
