EVANSTON, Ill. -- Northwestern junior Chris Wilson (Dublin, Ohio/Coffman) has been named to the Cleveland Golf All-America Scholar team, which was announced this week by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Only juniors and seniors are eligible for the team and must have at least a 3.20 cumulative grade-point average and finish with a 76.0 or better stroke average.

This past year, Wilson, a first-team All-Big Ten selection, led the Wildcats in scoring with a 73.03 stroke average, 0.1 strokes per round ahead of junior David Merkow, the Big Ten Golfer of the Year.

Wilson captured the Big Ten Championship title and was the only competitor to record even-par or under marks in all four rounds. He also finished fourth at the NCAA Central Regional Championships, where the Wildcats placed second among 27 teams.

Last summer Wilson won the U.S. Amateur Sectional Qualifier at Conway Farms, the 99th Ohio Amateur title and reached the finals of the Western Amateur.
