Villanova, Pa. - The Villanova women's tennis team (6-4) won 4-3 over Connecticut yesterday afternoon at the Villanova Tennis Complex in a decision that mirrored the men's outing the same day.

'Nova won the nos. 1, 3, and 5 singles matches and the first and second doubles matches. Junior Candice Carlin (Moorestown, N.J.) defeated Chirstine Burek 6-3, 6-2. Freshman Jaclyn Williamson (Unionville, Pa.) and senior Melissa Reed (Wyomissing, Pa.) earned 6-3, 6-4 and 6-4, 7-5 decisions over Jess Porter and Ashley Petruzzi respectively.
