WORCESTER, Mass. - Villanova women's crew took eighth place at the Big East Championship Sunday afternoon. The Wildcats finished with 45 points, Notre Dame won the overall title with 122 points taking first in four finals.

In the grand final of the Varsity Eight event, Villanova finished fifth as well clocking in at 6:46.07. The team had placed second in their heat finishing behind Notre Dame with a 6:41.82.

The `Cats competed in two other finals including the Novice Four race where Villanova took fifth with a 8:34.47. In the Four Petite, the tean had a first place finish of 8:00.27.

The Wildcats will row at the ECAC Championships next Saturday in Worcester, Mass.
