VILLANOVA, Pa. - The Villanova Women's Lacrosse team will highlight its fall season with an event on Saturday with its partners in the Philly Six - Drexel, La Salle, Penn, Saint Joseph's and Temple - on the campus of Temple University. The `Cats will play four scrimmages against some of their inner-city rivals, participate in a clinic and conclude the day with an autograph session where fans can meet members of the 2008 squad.

"The Villanova Women's Lacrosse program is extremely excited to be a part of what hopes to be a rich tradition of both service to the surrounding Philadelphia community as well a chance to compete at a high level against some of the best lacrosse programs nationally," stated Villanova head coach Jebb Chagan. "In this case, the competition itself will come from the Philadelphia Division I Lacrosse Community. What a great way for the community, alumni, parents the student-athletes and coaching staffs from each school to come together for a day of competiton, service and fun."

It will be an early morning for the Wildcats, who face off against Drexel at 8:40 a.m. Villanova then meets Saint Joseph's at 10:40 a.m. before participating in a clinic at 11:35 a.m.

Villanova then returns to the field of play for encounters with La Salle at 12:40 and Temple at 2:00 p.m.

The day will end with an autograph session at 2:40 p.m.
