Villanova, Pa. - Senior tri-captain Megan Foster (Berlin, N.J.) earned Division I Player of the Week honors from womensfieldhockey.com for the week of Sept. 18 after an eight-point week against West Chester and then-no. 9 Connecticut.

Foster scored the game-winning goal in both contests, totaling three goals and two assists in two games. She scored 27 minutes in against WCU, and near the end of the game, the senior assisted on sophomore Allison Boris' fourth goal of the game and the Wildcats' sixth and final.

Four days later against UConn, Foster tallied the game-winner, this time at 33:23, to give VU a 2-1 lead at the half. For her second goal of the game, she received a long pass from Boris at 40:14, dodged the goalie and scored on an open goal.

She leads the BIG EAST in goals per game (1.44), points per game (3.44), shots per game (5.33), and is tied for the lead in the conference in game-winning goals (0.33) through nine games.

Foster is the `Nova career points leader with 133 points. She is two goals away from becoming the schools career goals leader as well. She has 55 and needs two to pass Nicole DiMaggio (1997-00), who ended her career with 56.

In the womensfieldhockey.com Division I poll, the Wildcats rank 12th with a 6-3 overall record, and a 1-0 mark in the BIG EAST.
