SACRAMENTO, Calif. -
Villanova's Bobby Curtis posted an amazing second place finish in last night's finals of the 5,000m event at the NCAA Championships at the State University of California in Sacramento. Curtis put forth a truly courageous effort during the race, but eventually fell just short of Wisconsin's Chris Solinksy. Despite just missing the title, Curtis managed to set a new personal best with a time of 13:39.88, shaving four seconds off his previous mark.
"Bobby ran a terrific race," says Villanova head coach Marcus O'Sullivan. "He has made tremendous progress, and we are all really proud of him, as well as all his accomplishments."
