Philadelphia, Pa. --- On Tuesday, Sept. 24, the Villanova men's tennis team picked up their second victory of the season, 7-0, defeating La Salle in Philadelphia, Pa. With the win, the 'Cats improve to an overall 2-0 on the season.

Led by senior Brad Adams at top singles, Villanova was victorious in all six of their singles matches. Adams defeated the Explorers' Eric Moffett in straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 while fellow classmate Ryan Devine notched his sixth win of the season with a 6-2, 6-0 victory at second singles. In third and fourth singles, respectively, junior Lucas Kaster and senior Justin Goulet both picked up victories in three sets while junior John Toppel and senior Andy O'Neil garnered straight set victories at the fifth and sixth posts.

In doubles action, sophomore Aaron Kusza and freshman Carl Fenzl picked up their first win of the season at the top spot while Goulet and O'Neil and Toppel and rookie Brenden Mahoney defeated their La Salle opponents at second and third doubles.

The Wildcats will return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 2 when they travel to Newark, Del. to take on the University of Delaware at 3:00 p.m.
