Men's Tennis Sweeps Again

PHILADELPHIA, Pa.- Yesterday the Villanova men's tennis squad (2-0) didn't miss a beat against the LaSalle Explorers (1-4), taking all singles and doubles matches at the Belfield Tennis Complex and coming out with a 7-0 victory, their second match of the season in which they didn't allow their opponents a point.
Seniors Aaron Kusza and Ricardo Baraldi won their No. 1 and No. 2 singles matches in straight sets, respectively. Freshmen Jorge Rodriguez, Tony Soruco, Diego Alvarado and Charlie Farmer rounded out the singles matches, all with wins.
In doubles action, Scott Fahrendorf and Charlie Farmer paired up to win at No. 1 doubles, while Diego Alvarado and Dimitri Chimerakis won their No. 2 doubles match, 8-1. In No. 3 singles action, Senior Sean Gallagher and freshman Tony Soruco played to an 8-3 victory. The men return to action on this weekend when they travel to Brown University in Providence to compete in the Northeast Intercollegiate Tournament.
