BRONX, N.Y. - The Villanova men's tennis team notched its second consecutive shutout with a 7-0 defeat of Fordham on Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.

Aaron Kusza and John Toppel both battled to three-set victories at first and second singles, improving to 3-2 on the season. Ricardo Baraldi and Carl Fenzl each put up 6-1, 6-1 wins over Peter Zipf and Ben Ehrman, respectively.

At No. 4 singles, David Harring posted a 6-0, 6-0 win, while Lucas Kaster also went 6-0, 6-0 at sixth singles.

Angel Rubio and Alex Villalobos teamed for an 8-0 win at No. 2 doubles to improve to a team-best 4-0. Kusza and Kaster defeated Mike Rosato and Zipf at first doubles, while Fenzl and Harring paired for an 8-1 victory at No. 3 doubles.

Villanova (2-0) opens its home season on Tuesday at 3 p.m. against Philadelphia rival La Salle at the Villanova Tennis Complex.
