Holloway, Corso Earn All-CAA Men's Lacrosse Postseason Honors

VILLANOVA, PA. - On Friday, May 10, the Colonial Athletic Association announced its 2002 All-CAA Men's Lacrosse Team. The award winners along with the first and second teams were selected by a vote of the league's seven head coaches. Villanova had two players receive post-season honors on Friday. Senior midfielder Mike Holloway (Malvern, Pa./ Malvern Prep) was named to the All-CAA first team, while junior midfielder Owen Corso (Franklin Lakes, N.J./ Ramapo) earned CAA All-Conference second team honors.

Holloway finished first on the Wildcat team in goals (26) and second on the squad in both assists (11) and points (37). He ended his outstanding career with 52 goals and 35 assists for a total of 87 points.

Corso led the Villanova team in groundballs this season with 103, 50 more than any other player. He also netted three goals for six points in 2002. Corso ended the year third in the nation in groundballs per game with 7.46.

The Wildcats finished the 2002 season with a 6-8 overall record and a 2-4 mark in the Colonial Athletic Association.
