The Villanova men's lacrosse team continued its ascent of the national rankings this week, reaching No. 14 in the USILA poll released on Monday. Three spots higher than the previous poll, this is the highest the Wildcats have been ranked in program history.
The Wildcats are 11-2 this season and tied the school record for wins in a season with 11. They completed a perfect 8-0 home season on Friday with an 11-9 decision over Penn State.
Two other Colonial Athletic Association teams are ranked in this week's poll with Towson sitting at No. 11 and Delaware moving up to No. 19.
Villanova will host Delaware in a CAA semifinal on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Villanova Stadium. Admission to the game is $5, but students showing their Wildcard will be admitted free of charge.
