Feb. 24, 2003
Villanova, Pa. - The start of the 2003 men's lacrosse season has been delayed so far due to inclement weather and field conditions. A regularly scheduled game versus Binghamton on February 15 was postponed, as was a Colonial Athletic Association match-up versus Hofstra on February 23.
The game against Binghamton has been rescheduled once again as Villanova Stadium is not yet ready for on field action. Tuesday, February 25, was the original make up date for the non-league game, however the game will now be played one day later, February 26. To start the season in a timely manner the Binghamton game will now be played at Franklin Field at the University of Pennsylvania with start time scheduled for 1:00 p.m. The game, while played at a neutral site, is still considered a home game for the Wildcats and will be the first of the 2003 season.
Villanova's first league game with Hofstra was also postponed this past weekend. A makeup date has been announced and the game will take place April 23 at Hofstra. Game time is currently 7:00 p.m. as the CAA match-up moves from the start of the season to the end.
