VILLANOVA, PA. - Senior midfielder Matt Lucas and junior defender Jon Urbana received Preseason All-American Honorable Mention honors from Face-Off Yearbook. This marks the first time that any Villanova men's lacrosse player earned preseason accolades.

The Wildcats' premier face-off man, Lucas finished second in the nation after winning 66-percent of his face-offs. He was named to the All-Colonial Athletic Association Second Team after scoring 15 goals and dishing two assists in 15 games.

Urbana is responsible for guarding the opposition's best attacker and earned All-CAA Second Team honors in 2003. He also corralled 35 ground balls and managed one assist in 12 games.

Villanova returns seven starters to this year's squad and opens the season on Feb. 21 at 1 p.m. when Patriot League rival Colgate visits Villanova Stadium.
