Simon Connor joins the Villanova men's lacrosse staff for his first season as an assistant coach in the 2007 season. He will work with the offense and coordinate recruiting.
Connor played eight games in the midfield as a freshman and sophomore in 2001-02 before a career-ending injury turned him to coaching.
He began his career on the sidelines as the head assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Harriton High School in Rosemont, Pa. After leaving Harriton Simon took a position as the offsensive coordinator at Whittier College in California. In his one year at Whittier, the Poets went 8-7.
Connor graduated Villanova in 2004 with a Bachelor's of Arts in Political Science. He resides in Conshohocken, Pa. and works as a writer and researcher for Baseball HQ.
