Wildcats Prepare for Temple-Glenmaura Invitational :: The two-day tournament will take place Oct. 4-5.

VILLANOVA, PA. - The Villanova men's golf team will compete in their fourth event of the fall season, the Temple-Glenmaura Invitational, on Oct. 4 and 5 in Moosic, Pa. The 'Cats are coming off an eighth place showing at the Rehoboth Beach Fall Invitational.

Last season, the Wildcats finished in 11th place of the 13 teams that competed. Three of this year's 'Cats, Matt Gugino, Henry Watson and Jon Hewett, were among the five players that played at last year's tournament, held at Glenmaura National Golf Club. Glenmaura is a par-71 course with a total yardage of 6,595.

Gugino was the team's best finisher a year ago, with a 10-over par 152, good eough for 25th place. The University of Maryland is the defending champion in the event.

Following the Temple Invitational, Villanova will have two weeks off before the Big Five Invitational, to be held in Philadelphia, Pa.
