Golf Ties For Ninth At Seton Hall-Rutgers Collegiate Classic :: Matt Gugino and John Ward lead the way for the 'Cats.

Somerville, NJ- On Friday, October 11, the Villanova University golf team traveled to the Royce Brook Country Club to compete in the Seton Hall Rutgers Collegiate Classic. After a rainout on Friday, the golfers took the course on Saturday and posted a t-ninth place finish.

Villanova was led by juniors Matt Gugino and John Ward who tied for 32nd place. Gugino shot a 41-43-84, while Ward finished with a 39-45-84.

Junior John Keller and sophomore Kevin Foster also finished in a tie for 44th place. Keller notched a 47-39-86 on the day with Foster shooting a 45-41-86.

Villanova gets back into action next weekend when they compete in the Penn Invitational in Philadelphia.
