Villanova Moves Up One Spot To No. 13 In Sports Network Football Poll

The Villanova Wildcats moved up one spot to No. 13 this week in the Sports Network I-AA poll. Villanova is coming off a thrilling 31-30 come from behind win at No. 17 Richmond. The Wildcats earned 1,198 points in this week's poll and trail No. 12 Hofstra by 112 points who tallied 1,310 points.

Georgia Southern remained No. 1 with 2,312 points followed by Montana (2,190 points), Furman (2,117 points), McNeese State (1,949 points) and Appalachian State (1,920 points).

Villanova is one of five Atlantic 10 teams to be ranked this week. Joining Villanova and Hofstra in this week's poll are Rhode Island (No. 7/1,673 points), William & Mary (No. 20/ 670 points) and Richmond (No. 24/198 points).

The Wildcats will return to action this Saturday, Oct. 6 when they host James Madison in a Parents' Weekend contest. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
