Final Stats

BROOKLINE, Mass. (AP) - Shawn Brady completed 17 of 24 passes for 299 yards and four touchdowns to lead Northeastern past Villanova, 34-30, Saturday in an Atlantic 10 game.

The game between Northeastern (3-2, 2-1) and Villanova (3-3, 0-3) came down to the final seconds. Villanova had a fourth and three on the Northeastern 22-yard-line, but a Villanova pass was knocked down by Jamil Young of the Huskies.

Northeastern wide receiver Corey Parks had eight catches for 164 yards and three touchdowns.

Villanova's Marvin Burroughs connected on 31 of 41 attempts for 350 yards and two touchdowns.

Northeastern led, 18-17, at the half and widened that lead to 27-17 in the third period. But Villanova cut the lead to 27-23 at the beginning of the fourth when J.J. Outlaw capped a 10-play, 80-yard drive with a scoring run from the six.

Burroughs stunned the crowd when he threw a 54-yard scoring pass to Outlaw, putting Villanova up, 30-27. But Northeastern gained the winning edge as Brady tossed a nine-yard scoring pass to Shawn Giles.
